I got a post up more so about the washer and dryer last month, so I thought it would be fun to get a post up focusing on more of the little details that really completed this room. I’ve wanted to fix up our laundry room since well, we moved it. Originally it had the vinyl flooring, you know in that weird orangey color that just isn’t cute? 😉 HA! So we replaced the flooring before we even moved in and by we, I mean Marcus and my Dad. Then I knew down the road we would get to finishing it. So I kind of styled it to make due for the time being but now it’s done and I love it so dang much. That’s how you know you’re completely an adult. HA! You’re excited about a a laundry room….GUILTY.
So this space is pretty small, so I had to get creative with space and storage especially. I wanted a beautiful sink in there, but knew I couldn’t do all the counter tops and cabinets and you know – all those things you see in magazines with laundry rooms that are the size of my bedroom. (GOALS). So I went with a farmhouse style sink, but one that hung so that it left the open concept without closing the room off, but added a beautiful finish to the room. I teamed up with Build.com on it and they sent me it with the faucet and everything needed to get it up, then I hired a plumber to come out, rip the old one out and get this bad boy out.
Seriously I was in AWE when he was done installing it. I mean I loved the sink and knew it would change the room, but I didn’t realize how much it would change the room. Ya know what I’m saying? It’s a bigger sink than our last and I was worried about that, but holy cow it’s beautiful.
Then Marcus updated the lighting fixture, which we weren’t going to do, but I’m so glad we did because it really finished the entire update. The light is also c/o Build.com. Which if you haven’t checked out their lighting selection, they have a HUGE selection – a big chunk of the lights in our house are actually from them because they just have such a variety, for every room and it makes it easy for a one stop shop type of deal! I’ll link everything below of course.
The wallpaper was easy to do and I just grabbed that at Target. I was going to do the entire room, but decided if I did that the room might feel closed off and since it’s already small, I just kept with two walls. The cabinets I just got from Walmart.com and Marcus installed them in an afternoon and his words “they weren’t that terrible to put up” 😉 HA!
Okay, linking everything to shop below here, if you have questions DM me on insta or feel free to drop em’ below and I’ll watch and answer!
