I’m not going to lie, I’m a little terrified for the transition from one child to two. Not to mention, I’ve been doing everything possible to really prepare Blake. I mean, by the time he gets here, it’ll literally have just been here and I and Marcus for almost four and a half years. That’s gonna be a big change for her. HA! She’s already had a hard time seeing a lot of mail coming for baby brother and not much for her lately. But I’ve been explaining to her that she has a lot of things already and baby brother is starting new! He has nothing!
Anyways, so we’ve invested in a few books and been doing all that we can to “prepare” her and I as much as possible. Don’t get me wrong – we are stoked, but change is scary, at least for this anxious Mama. And while infertility is the worst, I think God knew what he was doing putting a little over a four year age gap between them, because well, anxious + freaking busy. I hope anyways, time will tell. 😉 So I thought I’d share some books we’ve purchased recently and some of our favorites that we’ve read and gotten for Blake, to transition her from an only child to a “big sister” and not only that, but a big sister to a baby brother 😉 We were given a couple by a friend, that we LOVE and then I purchased a couple more! So let’s do this thing.
Also, first off – I ordered this cute freaking set for Blake to give her when she comes to the hospital when he’s born and I’m so excited. It’s SO up her alley, princess everything and she will love it!
Now, here’s the rest and they’re all linked below!

- It’s Mine – note for this, not really “sibling” but we wanted a good book on sharing 😉 HA!
Please share your best tips and tricks below though that helped with the transition and your older kids! I’d love to hear and honestly can use all the help I can get 😉
