Let’s talk game day goodies. Because let’s just be honest, I feel like year round…where as it used to be just a few months out of the year… we have sports on in this house. I used to dread it, some days I’m still okay cool, let’s get some Lifetime movies on 😉 HA BUT I have learned to love the hosting part of it and having friends and family over. It’s funny how the older you get, things change. Who would’ve guessed ten years ago I would enjoy cooking, hosting, throwing parties and all the things? SURPRISE, I DO.
Well we recently hosted family over for all the New Year’s Day football games, so I thought I would share some easy, quick ways I get some appetizers ready and keep everyone’s bellies full for the upcoming playoffs and big matchup on Feb. 3rd (and p.s., details on a neat game day GIVEAWAY are below). In fact, these have kind of turned into a tradition and you guys, I’m not kidding when I say EASY. Like it took 15-20 minutes to get everything ready and rolling and now it’s become a thing when family come over for game day. Also, I feel like full, happy, bellies make for a smoother game day…even when “our” team isn’t winning….just sayin’ 😉
Okay, so our go-to appetizers are all Farm Rich, you can grab them literally at Walmart in the freezer aisle or use their product finder to find a store near you. But, they’re also available at grocery stores across the U.S. Farm Rich offers a full lineup of yummy frozen snacks, appetizers and BBQ, which are quick and easy to prepare and made with quality ingredients. They give families and individuals a variety of fun food options to choose from so that your food takes center field at your homegating party. Our favorites include the Farm Rich Jalapeño Peppers, Mozzarella Sticks + Meatballs.
I throw everything on a couple of plates, pair it with ranch and ketchup and serve it up as an appetizer to start our Game Day off! Sometimes if I’m feeling really fancy and you know, have the energy, I’ll even bust out the homemade ranch. BUT guys, my point is IT’S SO DANG EASY + seriously they’re so good. In fact, we keep the Farm Rich Mozzarella Sticks in the freezer at all times for easy lunch sides and snacks!
