When we met with our construction manager and told him not to put any shelving in our master closets, I think he thought I was crazy. HA! He just kind of looked at me like, are you sure? I WAS SURE. I had a friggin’ game plan. It involved the ultimate organization and a pretty good dream closet, but on a budget an affordable. MODULAR CLOSETS. I showed y’all these as Marcus was working on them and building them, but now it’s time for the big reveal of course paired with mismatch hangers and a whole lot of bins to hide all our crap, real life people, real life. Don’t get me wrong, I want a pretty closet but I don’t have time nor do I want to spend the money to go and buy all new hangers so they’re the same color. #SorryNotSorry
Anyways, let’s dive in and I’ll tell y’all a little about the Modular Closet process and everything! First off – they’re doing their fourth of July sale right now, so if you’re in the market, jump on that! Now let’s chat about the process. It’s actually really cool, you give them your closet measurements and everything and they’ll come back at you with full designs. Then you guys work together to tweak and perfect it to be exact to your liking for a fraction of the cost. We teamed up with them and ours were gifted, but I did a ton of research before partnering up and was actually looking at purchasing them before we got this opportunity – so trust me when I say that. They also ship within 48 hours and it gets there really quick. I think we got ours in less than a week.
We have his and her walk in closets off of our bathroom. So for mine we did a lot more hanging areas and lots of shoe shelving because I don’t have a problem at all, you have a problem. 😉 Then we added drawers for me since I basically hang everything, then just put minimal in drawers. Obviously. For Marcus’ since he puts a lot of his clothes in our dresser and just really hangs his work clothes and ties, we did a small hanging area and then a lot of storage shelving to store extra bathroom stuff, towels, etc. Then we hung small hooks to hang all of his hats because well, I might have a shoe problem, but he has a hat one. 😉 So first we opened all the boxes, put everything in the right spot, then we got to building. It was actually relatively easy to build and I would say on a very beginner DIY level. I mean, I only built a portion of them, HA! But Marcus did them in just a few hours on a weeknight, so that should tell you it wasn’t terrible.
Anyways, we can just really dive in now, so I’ll just post all the pictures and let you have a look at it. Can you tell who’s closet is who’s? 😉
