One memory I have growing up was having bubble baths. Seriously, I still love them so much, it’s a little obsessive and it’s fine. There’s just something about a good bath after a long day to kind of melt the stresses away before I go to bed! Well, naturally I’ve gotten Blake just as obsessed, but it’s kind of turned into a whole thing and honestly, it’s just about the best thing ever and I love our little time together.
I hope that one day she remembers all the fun we had too during our “hot tub” bath tub parties. Literally, she will ask me if we can have a BIGGGG bubble bath, the minute I say yes, she bolts upstairs, changes into her swimsuit and then sits on the floor by the tub until I am ready to start the tub and get the party started. Then we fill the bathtub up literally over the tub full with bubbles, I get my suit on and we listen to music really loud while we have bubble parties and of course PLAY BARBIES (because what else would you do in a bubble bath “hot tub”). These are exactly the kind of memories that I want Blake to remember forever and that I cherish because I wish she would stop growing up so dang fast.
During our last Bathtub party, we busted out the Ivory Soap goodness that we have and honestly, I’ve never felt such soft skin afterwards! Usually our bubbles kind of dry my skin out (and hers because you know, cursed her with dry skin…#genetics), but this time it was great and both of our skin felt so soft and I’d almost say better than before. So basically I felt like I needed to shout it from the rooftop. We used their bar soap and their body wash – both smelled delicious, went on smooth and like I said, left our skin super soft which honestly, hasn’t been the case before for me especially with a bar soap. So naturally, I went out that night later and bought a few packs of the bar soap to keep in our shower since it’s what Marcus uses often and welp, now me too I guess!
So here’s to more bathtub parties, all the bubbles (basically ceiling high), The Greatest Showman Soundtrack and welp, memories because I just love this girl so dang much and hope she remembers our fun times forever!
