Anyone else have a kid that isn’t so much into breakfast? That’s totally Blake. The problem is then by 10AM (ya know because she didn’t eat much of the breakfast I made her), she’s so grumpy and clearly hungry. So, then I’m at the point of – PLEASE EAT.
It’s been an ongoing battle for oh…6 plus months and I’ve tried all the things. So last week I decided to try something new. She typically has milk at night before bed, so I thought, wait, let’s do something similar for morning with a food she loves. Especially since that little brain of hers is growing and developing so much right now. Literally the things she says these days blows my mind. Actually, side story – my Dad had to get stitches in his hand and the other day he took the bandage off and apparently one is his stitches had fallen out. There was no trace of it though – like you would have had no idea it had fallen out had you not known the amount of stitches he had in. Well, Blake walked right up, looked at it and says, “Gaga (that’s what she calls him), one of your stitches is gone! You only have 5!” – This was completely on her own, my Dad hadn’t even realized he was missing one at this point. It blew my mind. Like – wait, what?
Anyways – so yeah, her tiny brain is just go, go, going all day. I did some research and found Enfagrow® Toddler Next Step™. On average, toddler’s diets generally only provide 25% of the recommended amount of DHA, I mean does that surprise me? Nah, it’s like pulling teeth to get her to eat. When I found this I was like — oh my gosh, this is perfect. It has the DHA to help bridge this gap. Enfagrow Toddler is a milk-based drink tailored to toddlers 1-3 years old, that complements their diet to help ensure good nutrition for their changing needs and tastes.
Recently, I started prepping her breakfast the night before – I usually give her two options to choose from, then we get it ready together, pour a sippy cup full of Enfagrow Toddler and put it in the fridge or on the counter depending on the food. Then when she wakes up, we watch a show, while she drinks her Enfagrow Toddler and then we go upstairs to eat what she picked out the night before. I don’t know if it’s just preparing her that we are going to eat breakfast and letting her pick it out for the next day – but I’ve seen a huge change. I think letting her ease into it with the complement of Enfagrow Toddler while she’s still waking up is a huge help too!
Anyway, so far, it has been a success– fingers crossed it stays this way.
I can’t say enough good things about Enfagrow Toddler – seriously she loves it and I love that it helps support her brain and development.
