Well…as I’m sure most of you saw on Instagram last week, when we were in Texas we got rear ended. ERG. Literally, quite possible one of the worst times to be in a car accident – on vacation. We were all thankfully fine, but holy cow I was just grateful I had car insurance and so did the girl who hit us. Which got me thinking about you know…adult things, like car insurance. The company we use and our agent is seriously incredible, even though it wasn’t our fault and it’s the person who hit us’ responsibility – they took the time to explain things to us, have helped us along the way and I’m just so impressed.
Well, I’ve had a lot of questions about it all because I expressed all of this on insta-stories after the accident happened. SO I thought – wow this worked out nicely (I mean I would rather have not been in an accident, but you know ;)) because we are actually teaming up with The Zebra on a post. SO HIII, here we are. I’m a freak about insurance, like all the insurance. I am just an anxious person – that’s probably why. Obviously I want great coverage and insurance, but affordable.
The Zebra does it all for you – it’s actually incredible. They’re, the first of their kind and the nation’s leading insurance search engine and they use their Insurability Score Tool to put together a score for you and then give you rates compared across the board with different insurance companies. Basically – they do the work for you. They’re independent and not associated with any insurance company – which I like because you get bias free results.
You can get your score, here. My advice is do this first if you’re just beginning your journey, then compare and weigh the options. Luckily, with our little fender bender – it didn’t raise our rate since we weren’t at fault, so make sure you talk with each company and get a feel and understanding to build that trust. You want to make sure you’re in it together!
And a fun insurance myth question answered, for you because why not?! Let’s keep things fun and see if you know!
True or False: The color of your vehicle impacts your insurance rate.
(False) – not gonna lie, I actually thought the opposite, HA!
Now, run over – get researching on The Zebra and find what is best for you and your family. It’s seriously so simple and just beneficial all around!
Thank you The Zebra for sponsoring this post.
