Y’all know Marcus and I are all about a good DIY project and I’m itching to get things started in our new home hopefully in about a month and a half. Cross your fingers! SO when I heard about The UpSkill Project I was like mkay, you guys need to know ALL the details. So Boise area friends – LISTEN UP. (But even if you’re not in Boise, the contest is coming to a number of other cities, so you can stick around, plus cute pics of Blake okay.)
SO Lowe’s is giving five people in the area the opportunity to “up their skills” with well, The UpSkill Project. It’s the opportunity to enter for a chance to win side-by-side DIY skill instruction and a $2,000 Lowe’s gift card for a home project. I love this though because it’s not just a typical contest, it’s actually the opportunity to learn the skills to complete a project. I just love the empowerment that Lowe’s brings by teaching you the skills so that you can have them with you forever. They actually have a free workshop coming to Boise on 7/21 for those not entering or that didn’t win the contest that I’ll be attending – so stay tuned. They’ll cover topics like painting, tile, etc. and I’m so excited because that means new skills, for our new house!
Okay, so entering is fairly easy – you create a video explaining what the project is, what skills you’d need to complete it and what having those skills would mean to you. You can see the full details, here and the official rules, here. You can start entering as early as today through the 16th of this month (April) for the chance to win. SO hurry over and get brainstorming Boise friends!
And stay tuned because I’ll be covering one of the winner’s projects and giving a fun behind the scenes peek at it early this summer. I’m so excited – I love things like this and I can’t wait to see the homeowner’s new skills put to use!!
**NO PURCH NECESSARY. Homeowners and renters (with property owner’s permission) in eligible ZIPs only. Rules/Entry details at http://bit.ly/2D1ToZm Ends 4/16/18.
