I figured, it’s about time I do a friggin’ travel post, am I right?! I get asked often and well..we’ve traveled a ton the last year, even with the pups a couple of times! So here I am — let’s do this thing. It’s National Dog day soon so I thought this was the perfect opportunity to chat it all out. I have a list of my best tips and tricks to traveling with toddlers AND pups and well, a bunch of cute pictures of Blake and the pups because why the heck not.
Traveling with a toddler can be stressful, add in a pup (or two) and well you might want to pull your hair out, but we’ve perfected it, especially the road trip version! We’ve never taken the pups on a plane trip, not sure I want to, but we have taken them on a lot of road trips, so all of these tips really apply for that. They’re both great at traveling! I’ve broken the tips down by toddlers and pups. The toddler ones work for road trips or flights and the pup ones are like I said, catered to road tripping because well that’s all we’ve had experience with!
First, let’s chat about the pups because I don’t think there are very many tips out there for them!
Now the toddlers…who might prove to be a little more work 😉 HA! But with these tips our trips generally go pretty smooth. Maybe a couple meltdowns, but nothing out of the ordinary 😉
What works for you and traveling with your kids or pups (or both)? Tell us in the comments!
Also, make sure to check out Autotrader’s site, here for more fun on all things pups/cars! They’ve actually made it super fun for National Dog day this year and are releasing a limited time only “New Dog Smell” car freshener to give pet owners the warm and fuzzies remembering that first ride home with your fur baby. How cute is that?! No joke, I’ll never forget when we brought Howie home. We were in the middle of our long infertility journey and I begged Marcus for a dog. We were in Utah and I happened to find the perfect pup (AKA: Howie). After a lot of convincing he finally went with me to look at him and well…fell in love and the rest is history, HA! We drove all the way home from Utah to Idaho with him (see pup road trip experts) and he’s seriously the best addition to our family! We got Doc about 2 years later and him and Blake are the best of friends and it’s seriously the cutest thing, as I am sure y’all have seen all over my insta-stories!
