Yesterday Blake gave me a serious run for my money. I don’t know if it’s how much friggin’ energy she has (like literally, I wish I had her energy) or if it’s her sass or maybe it’s just a combination of the two. But I crawled in bed last night and my body literally ached. I mean, I have been consistently working out everyday (sick of me talking about that yet? DEAL WITH IT. 😉 ) so it probably was partially the killer arm workout I did, but I ached. Not to mention I kind of felt like I was losing my mind a little bit too. I feel like reasoning with a two year old all day kind of turns your brain to mush. For example, we literally argued about why she couldn’t put grapes in between the couch cushions, Like this is not a joke, I found her squishing all of her grapes in between the cushions, she had gotten 10 in there before I caught her.
You Moms know what I’m sayin’, haha! It’s a good thing they’re so dang cute, am I right? Then you add in the tantrums, carrying them out to the car, running around the house playing chase and well trying to to just keep up with their pace all day long. It’s no wonder my body ached. HA! Motherhood ain’t easy folks. Worth it, but not easy. Oh but she’s taught me so much, like patience, love, hope and gratitude for the little things. Isn’t it funny how easily we can get worked up over the craziest of things, but then you look at them and they’re so excited over the fact that they get to play with rocks in the backyard?! It’s those moments that make me stop and remember why life is so precious.
Anyways, I could go on and on, y’all know that. 😉 But let’s chat about those aches and pains and what I’ve been using recently between Motherhood and my workouts to help keep my body at ease.
First, fun fact – my Father-in-law is a chiropractor and he has carried this stuff in his office and we’ve used it for years, sooo it ain’t no new thing to me. However, now Biofreeze® is available and major retailers and y’all deserve to know about it’s goodness. What it is, is Pain Reliever products; they’re a safe and effective pain relief alternative because they are non-systemic, non-narcotic, and contain no NSAIDs (non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs), salicylates or addictive substances. They come in tons of different applications and either a green or colorless option, but we love the colorless roller ball in our house! We love them because they don’t test on animals, are produced in the United States and don’t require a prescription. The roller application is perfect for everyday use and on the go. Marcus and I usually take turns putting it on one another’s back every night before bed. Yeah, we keep things realll cute at our house. 😉 It’s great for sore muscles, strains, backaches, etc. to name a few.
If you need me I’m going to be trying to catch a nap and attempt to keep up with this wild cute toddler of mine!
