Christmas is going to be here before we know it! So naturally I’ve put on my Betty Crocker hat and have been baking away! Seriously, it’s the only time of the year you will find me baking–in fact it’s probably the only time of year you’ll find me even somewhere close to the kitchen. 😉 HA! Last week we did a practice run for Santa’s milk and cookies. Mainly just so we could you know, eat all the cookies and drink the delicious fairlife milk–but hey, whatever works, right?! Plus it was seriously a blast and I’m all about spending time with my favorite people (AKA: baby girl and the husband).
I made the most delicious sugar cookie recipe, which you can grab, here, because seriously — it’s SO good. You know what I did this year though, I traded out one of the eggs for ¼ cup fairlife milk and y’all these cookies were SO much better, like softer and way more rich. SO moral of the story, do that because fairlife milk is where it’s friggin’ at. Like I truly mean that, even before we started working with them on these fun campaigns it’s all we bought and it’s still all we buy. Their milk is just way more rich, has better nutrients and sits well in Blake’s little, developing tummy and well, that’s all a Mom can ask for, am I right!?
Once the dough was ready, we picked out all the Christmas cookie cutters from my (GIANT) box of cookie cutters and well, the fun began. Blake was seriously so cute. She would push down on the cookie cutter with all of her might and then clap afterwards because she was proud of herself. I’m glad she’s learning to celebrate the little things, I mean that’s what life should be all about! Marcus and Blake cut out all the shapes, while I kept with the tradition circle ones and and then we used way too many sprinkles, all the frosting and put them on a plate.
I grabbed my letterboard, you know to write Santa a note–however the note ended up apologizing for eating all the cookies…I have a feeling on Christmas eve the note will probably say something of the same…oops. Blake loved it though, she even colored a picture for him. I know she doesn’t totally get the “Santa” thing yet, but I love introducing her to these little traditions and just having fun. She might not understand the concept of Santa, but she sure did enjoy drinking all of the fairlife milk and chowing down on sugar cookies, sprinkles and icing and well, that made this Mama heart more than happy! Plus, I can’t wait to do it all over again in a couple of weeks!
What Christmas traditions have you done this year already?!

Learn why we love fairlife, here. They use the best farming system, keep the best nutrients in their milk and well, don’t even get me started on the chocolate–it’s basically a fudgesicle in a drink, seriously so good. Just trust me and head over to your local store to grab some. We get ours at Walmart and Target. Fine…mostly Target because I’m there like every other day. 😉
