Arizona has welcomed us with open arms so far! Seriously though, it’s been a blast! We were lucky enough to stay at the Drury Hotel the first couple of nights and it was great! Blake jumped on the bed, the couch, the chair — she’s really into jumping, so you know in case you were wondering how that was? She says great. 😉
The first day we got here we went to Legoland Discovery Center and holy cow — Blake had a BLAST. It was a little out of her age range, so I think she would like it more when she was a little older. However, she did enjoy it and collected all the legos and carried them everywhere. Haha! She made Marcus take her down the indoor lego slide about two dozen times and “moo-ed” at the lego cow another three dozen times. It was actually the perfect start to our little mini vacay/work trip for me 😉 I don’t get to just sit, watch her play and just soak it all in very often so I was in dreamland. Seriously–there’s something so amazing about watching your baby just laugh, play and have fun with no strings attached.
Yesterday was our first official all day here so we packed it full of activities. I’m the type of person that just wants to see and do all the things when I’m in a city. So we hit a cute little amusement park in the morning that is specially for little kids. Blake got to ride little baby rides by herself and it was the cutest thing I’ve ever seen! Every time the ride we stop she would sign and yell “‘MO, MO” (aka: more). We got there pretty early so there were only a few kids there so lucky for her she got to keep riding them over and over again. 😉 We ate all the food — seriously y’all, there’s some good friggin’ places to eat around here! Then we went swimming at our hotel. Blake’s such a little fish so she had a blast. Plus she took all her new souvenirs (because you can’t go to all these fun places and not buy souvenirs 😉 ) down to the pool with her, so there’s that. Clearly she runs the show around here.
A big thanks to Drury hotels for sponsoring our stay! Seriously y’all if you’re traveling somewhere with one of their hotels — STAY THERE. The best breakfast I’ve ever had, exceptional service and well–you heard Blake, the perfect beds to jump on. 😉
