Since having Blake and especially these last couple of months I’ve had tons of y’all ask me how I get her to keep a headband on. Honestly, I don’t do anything crazy now and somedays she is over it within 5 minutes. BUT, I have been consistent with one thing since the day she was born.
When I was pregnant I had a good friend tell me to always have a headband on Blake, from day one, morning until night. She said she had done that with one of her daughters and she never minded them, but didn’t with the other and she hated wearing headbands. So, I listened to it! It might sound silly, but I love cute tiny bows and I wanted to put them on her! Obviously if she really doesn’t want it on I’m not going to force her, but I really think doing that from day one has made a big difference. That’s my trick y’all, be consistent!
Now, the second most asked question having to do with headbands! Where do I get her headbands?! Well, one of my current favorite shops is Bonnie + Harlo.
They specialize in faux leather bow headbands. Their bands are one size fits all and are available in a variety of colors but two main styles:
1. “Bonnie” bow a small hand tied knotted bow
2. “Harlo” bow a classic style bow
We love them all and I’m a huge fan of the nylon bands! They’re soft on Blake’s little head, but stretchy enough to wear they fit for awhile!
Today, we’ve teamed up with them and get y’all a pretty sweet deal! Grab 15% off your total purchase with the code, “POSITIVELY“.
