I’m not going to lie, I was a little stressed out to travel with Blake and no we haven’t gone home quite yet, but we got here perfectly fine and it was a success and smooth ride! So I’m sharing with y’all the items that helped us survive traveling with a 6 month old thus far. We took a roadtrip with her once before, but it was literally a quick trip and she was only a month old, so she slept the entire time! Now she’s a lot more active, not a fan of sitting still for long periods of time and well..like I said I was stressed out and nervous about this entire adventure!!
So let’s dive in. Here are the items that have made this trip go smoothly:
This stroller was seriously life changing and a huge help. It saved my back and gave me two free hands to carry things and plus Blake loves sitting in a stroller and being able to watch everything around her. The 3D Lite Stroller is super lightweight, easy to fold and folds up pretty small making it great for either a road trip or an easy carry on item!
This bag is perfect for everyday, but really great for travel because it’s small but stretches pretty well fitting everything you need in there! Trust me we had snacks, books, toys, water, diapers, wipes, everything in that bag and it was still easy to carry around! Plus, it’s neutral meaning Daddy can carry it as well.
Blake LOVES books right now. She looks at them for a second, but mostly loves opening and closing the pages a million times and trying to eat them…but hey whatever works and keeps her content right?! Plus, it’s a great way to introduce books to her!
Okay, this right here was seriously the best invention ever invented if you ask me!! We just packed a couple of peach slices in a little ziploc and stuck one in the little feeder once she finished one. I kid you not this kept her occupied for hours.
A bottle was obviously a must. Blake takes really well to Dr. Brown’s Option bottles so we took a couple of these ready to go with formula so that all we had to do was add water!
Blake could play with these for hours, literally. She eats them, shakes them so they make noise, squishes them into her face, ha, everything! Plus if you’re road tripping you can hang them from her carseat or stroller so you don’t lose them or drop them!
Since Blake eats solids now a few times a day, pouch baby food was a must have! They’re perfect for traveling and Blake downs them and pretty much on her own without my help. That’s another story though because my baby is growing up too fast 🙁
What helps you survive traveling with your littles?!
