And because I know y’all will ask: Her dress is from Ryder + Rhenn and moccs from Freshly Picked 😉
I can’t believe my baby is two months old. Could someone please freeze time?! WAHHH. We had her two month wellness check Tuesday, which included shots and well this Mama was a mess! I took my Mom with me because Marcus had to work and well I didn’t want to be the bad guy 😉 So I sat in the chair while my Mom stood next to her. Oops.
She was actually quite the trooper though. She let out quite the squeal at first, but stopped oh 15 seconds later and has been great since! I’ve been staying up on Tylenol every four hours so that hopefully she doesn’t feel any pain, but she’s spoiling Mama so far. Knock on wood! Actually since they put her on acid reflux medicine she has been a different baby! She’s sleeping better, seems way more comfortable and is overall a happy baby! I’m sending praise to our pediatrician for prescribing this medicine!
Let’s see what’s changed this past month, well a TON. She’s huge now! Not really, but feels huge compared to when she was born. She’s in the 33rd percentile for weight and 34th for height. She rolls up on her side now which means I can’t really leave her just hanging on the couch now..and she LOVES to smile. She smiles and let’s out little giggles ALL the time and it’s amazing, especially on those hard days! One smile and I’m the happiest Mama out there.
Two Month Stats:
Weight: She’s a whopping 10 pounds 9 ounces as of Tuesday! She’s gained over four pounds since she was born and LOVES to eat. Seriously, I think if she could eat all day she would! Ha! She’s pretty tall, with long arms (like her Daddy) at 22″ long.
Routine: Oh we’re trying y’all! It’s a little different everyday, but we have been working on a sleep/nap routine that you can read all about, here. She seems to be doing pretty good with it, but everyday is a little different because of errands, appointments and my ever changing work schedule. You would think since I’m technically the boss I could make this easier, but jokes on me. Ha! She does well in her crib for naps though and is starting to get the hang of going to bed around 8 rather than 11 with Mom and Dad. Though we do have to go in and comfort her a few times at night still, but I’m hoping one of these days it will just stick!
Sleeping: Like I said she’s getting the hang of it. She struggles with taking long naps and usually only lasts about an hour, but that’s okay! We just take lots of hour long naps. Ha! At night she generally sleeps at least 5-6 hours straight, but every once in awhile she gives Mom a run for her money. Since starting acid reflux medicine she’s done VERY well with sleeping 🙂
Eating: She loves food. SO much. If she made her eating schedule I think she would eat every five minutes. I’m still using a nipple shield, but meeting with the ever so fabulous Lindsey this Saturday to chat about weaning her off! So cross your fingers y’all!
Milestones: I feel like she hits a new milestone everyday, little or not. She rolls up on her side now, smiles all the time, loves kicking her legs like crazy and turns to you when you’re talking to her. She knows my voice which I LOVE and it makes me feel on top of the world. Whenever I walk into a room or am talking to someone she turns and tries to find me.
She’s my favorite, we’re best friends and I love hanging out with her all the time. She’s the best little work partner! She loves her Daddy toms, especially when he sings to her. Me, not so much–trust me you wouldn’t like if I sang either 😉 If she’s ever fussy though he will just walk around the house with her and sing and she’s instantly happy. I love my little family.
