Let’s be honest, I’ve had it packed for several weeks in excitement, but I finally put the real necessities in there. Like…SNACKS!
Here’s a peek at my main hospital bag essentials.
One. THE BAG.
Pacapod “Idaho” bag and it’s fabulous, not just because it’s named idaho 😉 It’s roomy, cute and totally durable. You better believe ill rock this bag often for all of Blake’s goodies once she’s here! It’s a 3 in 1 organization system, cool bag, mini changing bag including a changing pad and baby bag!

I’m way too excited about these! I’m going to use one of these as a little gift for my doctor.
A friend recommended that and I LOVED the idea! They’re scrub caps from Kim Kaps and seriously such a fabulous little gift! Want in on the fun? Don’t you fret, we’re giving away 3 to 3 lucky winners! Just follow the directions + enter below. Make sure to check out Kim Kaps on Facebook + Instagram too!
Hopefully I’m not forgetting anything. I have a few other random items in my bag too but those are the essentials. If you can think of anything you think I’ll need, let this newbie know asap in the comments please!
Now, we wait. Baby girl you can go ahead and come anytime now! I can’t wait to meet you!
Xoxo,
Jess
I’m sure you thought of this already, but bring about 5 dollars in quarters for vending machines! I also wish that I would’ve been more prepared for the possibility of a c section (which I ended up having an emergency one) and brought things like: c panty or similar, earth mama angel baby c salve, and some dry shampoo so I didn’t have to stand so long in the shower! Do you plan on nursing? Bring some ready made lactation cookies and smart water 🙂 congratulations and good luck!
I did think about that and then totally forgot!! So thank you for reminding me 🙂 I’m on it!!
You’re awesome! And yes, nursing is the plan so good tips!!
Xoxo
I love your list! It has a lot of great things you’ll definitely need. My suggestion is to get a little something for the L&D nurses too! My doctor was amazing when I had my daughter but she was in the room for an hour, maybe two. The L&D nurses were there the entire time! They take great care of you and your little one & get you anything you need. I made an AM & PM basket for my nurses. It had lots of goodies and practical things like hand sanitizer and Chapstick. Hope your delivery goes well & congrats!!!!
Ah such a good idea!!! Thank you so much 🙂
