GUYS, they poured — FINALLY, a couple of weeks ago, but still. However, I’m just grateful we are buying a house, so I won’t complain about how long it took to start. 😉 HA! But I’m excited we poured, that means things are moving and hopefully we will be in, in spring. Anyways! It’s been a lot of fun finding little touches, picking things out and figuring out you know “the game plan” of the design happening inside the house. Well I promised I would try and document (and so far have been terrible at that), so here I am and I’m going to share some details on the fan we chose for the living room and a fun little thing we did with it.
SO it actually worked out well because I got the opportunity to collaborate with Hunter Fan Company and well — we were loving their fans. We got their SIMPLEconnect Smart Fans in white and it’s just as good in person as it is online. It has a super modern look (which I love and fits well within our home) and it’s well “smart” and y’all know my recent, new found love of all things “smart home” so naturally I was sold there. 😉 HA! You can control it with the remote or there’s an app on your phone that makes it super simple to turn on, off, control the speed and the light.
So like I said, we actually did something really cool. Since we aren’t in our home yet and still have a couple of months until we are. We actually had the opportunity to help a family friend out. She’s needed a new fan so we decided that we would gift this one to her and help her out. We all headed over, removed the old one for her that didn’t work and then put up the new one! And in a matter of well, less than an hour. It was pretty easy to install. It was really fun to do, especially during the holidays, there’s just something about the season and giving that honestly just makes me happy. Really giving all year long. So you can see how it looked in her home in the pictures and see that well, Blake obviously just made herself at home. HA! Then we will purchase one from them for our house in the next couple of weeks when the electrician needs it! Because — honestly, we are that obsessed, it’s a really good fan and I love the look and functionality of it. Plus it works with the Apple HomeKit and Amazon Alexa which has me all excited to be able to say “Alexa, turn my fan on!” 😉 HA! Yep, that person, no shame.
