I have quite a few teachers in my family – my husband, my sister, my sister-in-law. Lots. So I’ve been trying to work on all the educational things lately. I mean she’s at this perfect age where she’s like a little sponge. She memorizes all the songs off of Beauty and the Beast, I figure she can remember some important, educational things too 😉 You know, not that Beauty and the Beast isn’t important, but….
Well, luckily we got the opportunity to collab with a fun brand that makes a toy called Magnaflex and they turned out to not only be a toy, but perfect for the opportunity to teach her some educational skills. They’re basically little magnets that bend, connect and snap to each other and they come in lots of different colors. Blake LOVES them. No joke, she’s asked to play with them for four days straight on her little Gathre mat (Why? I’m not sure about that part) and she plays with them for over an hour. Plus, she always asks “Mama, you play with me?” and obviously that makes me partial to say I LOVE THEM. HA!
Well, I have figured out some fun ways to make them a learning tool, as well as a toy. So we play games like, counting them while we stack them on top of one another to make a “SUPER TALL TOWER”. We also like to find all the colors that match and guys, her imagination — that’s been the most fun to watch with these. She’s got a pretty wild imagination but with these, she just kind of goes to town. She will stack them and tell me it’s a plate and how delicious the popcorn is she’s eating off of it, we make bracelets and necklaces out of them and she loves to tell me how cute her little ladybug is as it’s flying all around my living room. It’s pretty friggin’ adorable. I don’t know why tiny imaginations are so cute, but they are. Basically everything she does is cute and I’m just “that parent” — it’s totally fine.
So long story short, they’re great. Perfect for a Christmas present, educational toy, life, whatever – basically, just add em’ to your cart and make that thing happen and you can go ahead and thank me later when you have 30 minutes to brush your hair and put makeup on. 😉
