As a busy, working Mama I really don’t have much time to well, brush my hair, let alone actually get ready. But I also really enjoy getting ready. I feel more confident and just a little more put together underneath the tired eyes and applesauce stains. 😉 SO I’ve mastered the whole getting ready in 10 minutes or less thing and I figured I would give you a run down of my typical morning.
First things first, Blake is usually up. In fact most days she wakes me up because well…Mama is tired and she’s up at the crack of dawn. So I’ll generally get her breakfast, turn on a show and while she eats/watches, it’s my time to get ready!
I typically start with my hair and eye drops. I use Clear Eyes Pure Relief® for Dry Eyes to help reduce redness and sooth them after little to no sleep from the night before. 😉 Then I do something to my hair while those really soak in my eyes before I put make up on. And by hair, I mean dry shampoo and a top knot or if I’m really lucky, I had time to curl it the day before so then I just have to brush it! 😉 You can grab my top knot tutorial, here.
After those two things, I dive into make up and honestly I don’t spend a ton of time on my everyday look. If I’m going out or do something special I’ll spend more time — but remember people, this is everyday and I only have 10 minutes, most days less. My make up routine goes a little like this:
- Concealer/quick contour
- Translucent powder
It might look a little daunting, but if you have the right products it’s not bad and it’s really quick! I’ll share those products soon with y’all, probably next week when I have time to really dive in and shoot pictures of it all so you can see details. That portion obviously takes the longest, but still is only around 6-7 minutes.
By this point Blake is wrapping up breakfast or the dogs have eaten it all. So I wrap it up and there you have it!
Now Clear Eyes Pure Relief®, a few details on those! Their eye drops are so good. I’m a big fan of all of them but especially the Clear Eyes Pure Relief® for Dry Eyes during this time of year. It gives up to 12 hours of soothing comfort and has lubricant drops in them (aka: artificial tears). The entire Clear Eyes Pure Relief® is the #1 selling brand of eye drops, so what does that tell ya?! GOOD STUFF! They all come in a unique bottle which keeps bacteria out and are a must have in our house, Marcus uses them too. Run out and grab some at Walmart, use this coupon, here for $5/1! (Good through the 30th)
