I think summer is almost here you guys, like I am pretty sure it MIGHT just stay warm from here on out. Fine, who am I kidding? Idaho has bipolar weather. So it might be snowing, raining, windy or who knows whatever tomorrow or in five minutes. I really don’t know. Did you guys want me to continue to talk about the weather in Idaho for another few paragraphs? Like holy cow, let’s get off that subject, it’s fine. I’ve got some cute pics from our latest family trip and a fun partnership with Born Shoes.
The other day we loaded Blake’s little electric VW van ride on toy in the car and drove to the little downtown area in our tiny town. Fun fact about me, I live in a TINY town. I mean obviously it’s next to a pretty big one BUT the one I live in is teeny tiny. I love it though because we can just head downtown, walk around, ride bikes, Blake can drive her little bus and it’s totally fine. People aren’t in the way, because well there’s like none of them, the sidewalks line farms and huge fields filled with animals like horses, cows and sheep and it’s honestly so great. Plus I mean, the animals around the corner at the farm are basically Blake’s favorite thing ever, so that makes me the coolest Mom ever. Ya know because I totally did that on purpose and everything? 😉
So anyways, Marcus got home from work and we loaded up and headed downtown in our new shoes, ready to rock n’ roll. Also please notice Blake drove her car not only into the grass area, but she’s also just pickin’ her nose in a picture. So….there’s that. Blake doesn’t really understand how to actually push the pedal all that well in the van though, so it’s more of a whole lot of stop, go, stop, go, while she’s looking backwards and Marcus and I are steering her. You know because she’s the best baby driver. DUH. Our new kicks made it a-okay though because well no joke guys, every, single, one of you Mamas need my sandals this summer (They’re the Carmo style). Just trust me on that. They’re SO friggin’ comfy, but CUTE, like so cute and you can dress them up or down; aka: wear em’ with a dress or jeans. Actually just go ahead and add these to your Mother’s day list. They’re Born and you can grab them at Dillard’s! Born uses premium quality leathers, fine detailing and they’re perfect to escape away on the perfect vacation or you know, run to the grocery store down the street. #MomLife Seriously though, SO COMFY, like I can’t tell you enough, it’s like my feet are on tiny baby clouds. Like leather soles that grip to the ground better than others, comfy.
Marcus’ are also Born shoes, which he wears on the daily for work, because you know COMFORT and style. However this post is about us people, it’s about the Moms and well, you need these (or any Born Shoes) for Mother’s Day. So send your husband to Dillard’s and make sure these are on his list. Or I mean, if you’re like me you could just go buy them yourself, grab him a pair for Father’s Day too and then you really knock it all out in one.
Now if you need me, I’ll be plannin’ our next around the corner trip to the cows, horses and sheep because Blake is currently asking. Sooo, it’s been real.
